New Laws in States Where Gambling is Legal

The start of the year always indicate a new beginning for all. So, this means that it also applies true in the sports betting and igaming industry. As this new year sets in, new regulations, initiatives, and legislations also were also implemented by those states where gambling is legal.

Updated Laws and Regulations in the Gambling World

ARKANSAS

Mobile sports betting will not be acceptable for the Super Bowl event this 2022 in all of the casinos within the state because of the delay.

HAWAII

House Bill 1815 was introduced by John Mizuno, a State Representative, just this year. It covers the legalization of sports betting in Hawaii.

LOUISIANA

Out of 64, mobile sports betting is already up and running in 55 parishes within the state. This is right after the approval of voters in 2020.

OREGON

Just recently, DraftKings officially become a sportsbook provider within the state. This was confirmed through the announcement of the Oregon Lottery.

TENNESSEE

It is already the Tennessee’s Sports Wagering Council that should be the one responsible for the management of online sports betting. This duty was transferred on January 1, 2022 from the Tennessee’s Sports Wagering Council.
